FAQ
1. What are the growth habits and characteristics of this plant?
You can find all of our plant information in the "Our Plants" section or you can click here for a direct link.

2. Do you have a list of what plants are available?
We sure do. You can find availabilities by location in "Buying From Us" section or you can click here.

If you can't find what you're looking for, submit your question here.

3. What is Flowerwood's policy on returns and credits?
All issues regarding your shipment will be dealt with on a case by case basis. All issues must be noted on the invoice and the nursery on your sales representative must be contacted within 24 hours of receipt orders.

4. What procedure do I follow if there is a problem with my order?
See above.

5. How is freight charge calculated?
Racked orders are freighted on a per unit basis. Each size container has a freight charge associated with it that is based on the mileage it is shipped. Stacked loads are charged freight as a percentage of the plant material total based on the mileage it is shipped.

6. Is there a difference in freight between a "racked" truck and a"non-racked" truck?
The freight cost is different on racked and stacked loads. Stacked loads are generally somewhat less expensive as more plant material fits on the truck and the charge is based on "one way" mileage. Racked loads have less plants on them and the freight charges are based on "two way" mileage as the rack has to come back to the nursery.

7. When will my order ship and when will I receive it?
We try to ship your order as quickly as possible after the nursery receives it. However, we must have enough orders to fill a truck going to your geographic area before we will schedule it to load. During busy times of the year like Spring and Fall the turn time is ver minimal as we have lots of orders coming in from evrywhere. During Winter and Summer the flow of orders slows and it takes longer to fill trucks. Generally, your order will ship in 5 to 7 days and you will receive it a day or two after loading.

8. What factors might delay a shipment?
Many factors can interfere with our ability to drop your order on time. Traffic, mechanical failure of the truck, weather, and unloading efficiency at the previous stop can all create delays. We do our best to deliver on a timely basis but there are always going to be some things we cannot control.

9. Can I make changes to an order after I have placed?
Generally you can make changes to your order until it is set up to load in a truck. At that point the load may have enough material to fill the truck and no add ons can be accepted. At times we will set up trucks that may be a few feet short of being full. We would be able to accept addons to an order for that load until the day we are scheduled to load it.

10. Does it cost extra to get UPC labels or color tags put on the plants with my order?
No. These are provided free of charge at your request.

11. How do I get POP(point of purchase) materials? Are they free?
POP materials are generally available free of charge at your request.

12. What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order for pickup or delivery is $1500.00.

13. Can I combine orders between locations to make a minimum?
No. We ask that you generate minimum orders from any facility you choose to order from. On occasion, if you have placed a minimum order at one facility, we may accept an additional order that is less than a minimum from another facility if it is logistically efficient to use that order in the loading process. This is addressed on a case by case basis. Please talk with your sales rep regarding this. They will evaluate the cost effectiveness of the situation and act accordingly.

14. How does Loxley East incorporate my minimum order at Loxley?
Loxley East's inventory is generally considered to be part of the Loxley nursery's inventory. We do ask that you try to order a reasonable amount from Loxley East as we cannot transfer small quantities of plants to Loxley.

15. Am I permitted to transfer plants purchased from you into a larger pot and re-sell it?
There are no legal restrictions on this.

16. Can I re-sell plants in different color pots?
Generally any premium, patented, branded or trademarked plant is to be sold in the original producer's colored container.

17. Do I need to put a picture tag on the plant if I re-sell it?
Many premium, branded and trademarked plants are to be sold only with a designated picture tag. This does vary so please check with your sales representative for specific info and requirements. Other more generic products do not require a picture tag, but the tag is very helpful in the retail sales environment.
